Founded in 2015 in Houston, Texas, Helmwood started as a small woodworking business focused on handmade home goods. By 2017, we expanded into sustainable lumber production, using fallen trees from around Greater Houston and offering a suite of custom sawmill services. In 2019, we relocated to our current facility, enabling us to produce large-scale custom furniture. With the opening of a new 15,000-square-foot furniture shop in 2022, we now have the talent and technology to handle projects of any size. Today, Helmwood operates a full-service custom sawmill, sells high-quality hardwood lumber and live edge slabs, and designs and builds custom furniture for a wide range of clients across the U.S.
